This season, the Chamber wants to remind you of the benefits of shopping at your locally owned Small Businesses! This is part 2 of a 5 part series on why you should Shop Small this season.
 

#2: You get local expertise that national chains won’t have. If covid-19 has taught us anything, it’s that everyone has a hobby they just needed a push to discover. Whether it’s gardening, painting, home improvement projects or training your new pet, there’s a local shop in your community that can give you expert advice on how to reach your goals. Who knows better than someone who lives in your neighborhood if your yard’s soil is the right kind for growing squash? Or if that perfect paint color you picked will need sealer to last under South Dakota storms? Did you know your neighbor works at the local veterinary clinic and has awesome advice on how to keep your dog calm during the Husets fireworks shows? Shop locally, and you can have your own real life “How did you know that?” moment.
