Chief Weir has served as a law enforcement professional for 38 years. The first twelve years he served as a State Trooper and State Narcotics Officer in Iowa. In 1995 he joined the FBI where he served for 24 years as a Special Agent, Supervisory Special Agent, Unit Chief, and Assistant Special Agent in Charge. For fifteen of those years Weir served in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, while living in Brandon. He has served as the Brandon Police Chief since April 1, 2019. Chief Weir and his wife Carol have four adult children, all of whom graduated from Brandon High School.
