David Owen, South Dakota Chamber President, joins us this month for On the Menu!

Attendees can expect to hear a recap of the 2023 Legislative Session and what the SD Chamber expects to see in the upcoming months. 
David Owen is the President of the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce & Industry, a private business organization that represents employers and manufacturers.  He serves as the Chamber's policy analyst and lobbies full-time during the state legislative session.  Owen is the author of Capitol-ism, the Chamber's legislative update, host of the Chamber's Legislative Podcast "Capitol Week with David Owen" and the author numerous white papers on issues such as property taxes and worker's compensation.  He is a long-time member of the South Dakota Unemployment/Re-employment Insurance Advisory Board.  Owen has wide-ranging political experiences, including many successful statewide ballot measure campaigns. 

His Chamber work began Aberdeen, South Dakota and included Pittsburg, Kansas, followed by Missoula, Montana and six years as the President of the Montana State Chamber before starting his current position back in South Dakota.
